Testimonials
Noam Sienna’s approach to henna is ethnographically and artistically unparalleled. Noam is singlehandedly reviving lost and dwindling Jewish henna customs and designs from Jewish cultures across the Sephardic and Mizrahi world. His intricate henna design work is deeply rooted in his own original academic research and tells stories that link one generation to another.
I first met Noam in Israel where he was researching different generations’ experiences with ritual henna work and I introduced him to several of my Meshadi Persian relatives. When my family was planning its own henna party in celebration of the wedding of my wife and I in the United States, we were honored to have Noam join us. He helped us craft a modern liberal interpretation of a henna ceremony that was still grounded in Meshadi tradition and long-lost designs. He involved our friends and family and his henna work and explanations were beautiful.
I can’t recommend Noam highly enough.

Dear Noam:
Thank you so much for doing a henna Lunch & Learn for our volunteers. The artwork and your wisdom continued to brighten our workplace for at least three weeks (we all avoided exfoliating!). Your entire presentation was thorough, intelligent, and neatly orated. You really opened our eyes to the magnitutude of healing found in a natural healing source. The volunteers were in awe and I was too. Best wishes...
Sincerely,

Dear Noam,
We loved the henna that you put on our hands. We thought it was really neat to see all the pictures of the henna. We wish you could come again! The henna looks cool! We were excited to hear that the longer a bride keeps her henna, the more her husband loves her and the less work she has to do. We learned that art supplies can come from plants!
Namaste!

Noam!
My foot is deepening into a rust colour, and it's an amazing feeling: the actual evening fades and the henna begins to emerge. Magical. My friends are telling me today how seeing the henna on their bodies is helping to elongate time -- to make the moment last. I think that this is the true magic of henna - all of the ritual of a tea ceremony but much better staying power.
You were resourceful, focused, engaging, artful, and created a mood that this was something special. Thank you so much. My henna is amazing, and so was my birthday celebration. I'd make it an annual event...
I wish you such a wonderful year of health, peace, fruitful search and good family times.
